WHO WE ARE
We are a players-first youth basketball program established January 2021. We aim to raise the bar in athletic training, IQ development and mentorship coaching. Our mission is to advance student athletes in a safe and positive learning environment to achieve their long-term improvement goals. We envision a future as leaders in youth basketball creating opportunities for all aspiring athletes to thrive on the court, in the classroom and in life.
WHAT WE OFFER
We exist to provide an elevated sports experience that helps young athletes develop their love and respect for the game. Through progressive coaching and our Fierce curriculum, we teach the game in a way that strengthens each player’s individual abilities as a Fierce athlete while fostering the team’s success as Fearless competitors. Athletes’ experience here enhances not only their athletic performance but also their mindfulness and character. Cultivating a complete player begins with unlocking untapped potential. As players grow, they discover the meaningful connections between basketball and countless opportunities both on and off the court.
Our core programs include our Travel Ball Teams, Camps & Training Programs as well as our Fierce Elite development extension program for high school level players.

We believe in keeping things simple and practical to achieve optimal results. Over-complexity in any business can come off as unnecessary fluff. We focus on fundamentals in basketball and in business. We work with what works best for everyone!

Coach Mike
President & Director Of Basketball Development
With over 10 years of invaluable experience as a professional international player, coach, and mentor, he has played abroad in Australia, China, Canada, Africa, and the Middle East. His career includes positions as an LA Clippers youth coach, high school assistant coach, university-level player development coach, and international coach in Hong Kong.
Building on this experience, he co-founded Great Gain Athletics Association Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit sports mentoring organization. Through his “Pro-Club Experience” flagship program, he shares the education, resources, and opportunities he has gained with aspiring, underrepresented young athletes.
As the Director Of Basketball Development for So Cal Fierce Basketball, he creates an unmatched basketball curriculum for athletes at every level, drawing from his years of expertise. His unique ability to connect with youth has impacted athletes far beyond the basketball court. His well-rounded approach and respected reputation keep him in high demand.
Tricia
CEO & Director Of Operations
With over 15 years of combined experience in executive management and creative consulting across entertainment, sports, and real estate industries, Tricia holds several key positions within the Great Gain brand.
As the Director of Operations for the So Cal Fierce Basketball Program, she leads strategic planning, operations, and brand development. She oversees business operations, program management, digital presence, and event planning. Through comprehensive parent support—both online and in person—she ensures a safe and nurturing environment for children throughout all program activities.
Tricia serves as the Co-Founder and President at Great Gain Athletics Association Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and So Cal Fierce’s community partner. Through this role, she develops and implements youth program initiatives and events for underrepresented communities. As an on-board FIBA Sports Agent for the “pro-club experience” flagship program, she guides athletes through contract negotiations for overseas professional opportunities.
